Talk to Your Professional Association about CPD and eLearning Benefits

Many professional associations for mining and geoscience professionals today recognize formal eLearning as credit towards CPD (continuing professional development) obligations. This is a significant benefit since busy professionals can take qualifying on-demand online courses in their own time from any location with a decent Internet connection.

EduMine has taken steps to ensure that, in general, the format and methodology of its online courses meet the CPD qualifying criteria of professional associations.

Practical Geostatistics

There's still time to register for Dr. Isobel Clark's upcoming short course Practical Geostatistics!

Geostatistical estimation is a two stage process: studying gathered data to establish the predictability of values from place to place in the study area; and kriging, or estimating values at those locations which have not been sampled. This course is intended for professionals dealing with the estimation from or interpolation between samples collected on a spatial basis who wish to use geostatistics to enhance their practical applications or research. The 3 days will be composed of lectures augmented by practical PC/laptop-based exercises covering many different applications.

This course will take place in Toronto, Canada, 3 - 5 November 2014.

For more info or to register, see the course page.
